Northrop Grumman is seeking a Configuration Analyst or Principal Configuration Analyst. This position will be in Warner Robins, Georgia and will support the Subsystems and Software Sustainment Operating Unit, within the Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector. The position is part of a larger Support Engineering group responsible for configuration management, document management, and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) analysis. This location primarily supports the design, delivery, and sustainment of embedded electronic systems on various US and foreign airborne platforms.

The successful candidate must have a thorough knowledge of hardware and software development life cycles and processes. Candidate will be responsible for configuration management of hardware and software technical data, and documents related to the design, modification, production, or sustainment of complex embedded defense related electronic systems. This includes configuration management planning, process control, and execution using the designated software configuration management tool to ensure baselines are maintained and reproducible. Candidate will schedule and manage Configuration Control Board activities and will be responsible for configuration identification, configuration audits, and controlling the CM process to ensure only valid and approved updates are incorporated into product baselines and other technical documentation. Candidate will also be responsible for maintaining, updating, and improving Configuration Management processes and procedures including the transition to a new Teamcenter based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. The Configuration Management Analyst will review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing. Candidate may also be tasked to support other activities within the document management, and DMSMS areas under Support Engineering.

Candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication (written / verbal) skills and is expected to execute the configuration manager role with limited day to day guidance in a fast-paced team environment.

This position can be filled at either Configuration Management Analyst or Principal Configuration Management Analyst level.

Basic Qualifications for Configuration Management Analyst level

  • High School Diploma/GED and 6 years experience supporting software OR hardware configuration management in a US Department of Defense contracting environment

  • Will also consider the following: Bachelor's Degree and 2 years' experience, supporting software OR hardware configuration management in a US Department of Defense contracting environment; 4 years of experience with Associates Degree; 1 year experience with Master's Degree is also accepted

  • Able to work in a fast-paced production environment with ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication, business analytical and problem-solving/trouble shooting skills.

  • Effective Customer Service skills/capabilities with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally inside and outside the organization.

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, and Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)

  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance

Basic Qualifications for Principal Configuration Management Analyst level:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 9 years experience supporting software OR hardware configuration management in a US Department of Defense contracting environment

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' experience, (or 10 years experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree; 7 years of experience with Associates Degree) supporting software OR hardware configuration management in a US Department of Defense contracting environment; 3 years experience with Master's Degree is also accepted

  • Able to work in a fast-paced production environment with ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication, business analytical and problem-solving/trouble shooting skills.

  • Effective Customer Service skills/capabilities with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally inside and outside the organization.

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros), and SharePoint.

  • Demonstrated experience with Siemens Teamcenter for configuration management of technical data

  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance is highly preferred

  • Bachelors Degree or Higher and 3+ years experience with one or more of the following: Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Visio

  • 3+ years' experience supporting the development, sustainment, or deployment of US military electronic warfare, radar, avionics or sensor systems

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
