Procurement Sourcing Analyst

Position Overview

The Procurement Sourcing Analyst will support Samsung Electronics America’s Procurement organization by managing sourcing initiatives, procurement processes, vendor relationships, and operational improvement projects.

This role will support marketing procurement activities, including sourcing strategy, RFP management, vendor compliance, and procurement process improvements. The position will collaborate closely with Procurement teams, business stakeholders, suppliers, and internal partners to ensure efficient sourcing execution, risk mitigation, and compliance with Samsung procurement guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage sourcing and procurement activities, including competitive bidding, quote analysis, and tactical negotiations for marketing procurement initiatives.
  • Manage end-to-end RFP processes for simple to medium complexity projects, including market research, RFP development, supplier communication, bid evaluation, and documentation.
  • Support vendor relationship management through Samsung’s BQMS and sourcing platforms while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Procurement teams and marketing business units to improve adoption of BQMS, procurement processes, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) practices.
  • Provide BQMS process guidance and training to internal users while monitoring adoption and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain procurement data repositories, reports, and tracking tools to support project visibility and decision-making.
  • Identify and resolve sourcing, procurement, and supplier-related issues while ensuring alignment with established processes.
  • Conduct periodic vendor compliance reviews and support supplier performance monitoring.
  • Analyze procurement data, develop performance metrics, and provide reporting insights to support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the creation and enhancement of procurement procedures, operational guidelines, and process documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Vendor Management, Project Management, or related functions preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions/macros), Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Experience working with SAP or ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data-driven insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
