Job description

The Procurement Manager is responsible for estimating and procuring of all plant material for RSG Landscaping projects. This role demands a high level of plant expertise, focus and dexterity to manage the efficient purchasing and procurement of goods, vendor relations, and accurate billing.

RSG Landscaping is a Drug Free Company. We conduct pre-employment drug screens.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Work with estimator(s) with providing timely and cost-efficient quotes on plant material
  • Create RFQs to solicit bids from vendors
  • Inspect and tag plants as needed
  • Coordinate plant deliveries to plant yard and job sites
  • Plant care management
  • Maintain accurate computerized records of items purchased, and cost
  • Manage materials pricing list and update as needed
  • Promote and manage effective relationships with vendors
  • Organize project need for efficient and effective sourcing and delivery
  • Manage logistics and oversee delivery and pickup of plant materials to job sites
  • Accurately bill and account for all products purchased for billing and project costings
  • Create summaries, evaluate bids and select material and vendors to best fill those material requirements
  • Sources, negotiates and secures plant material
  • Clearly communicate timing, materials, etc. with team members
  • Communicates with vendors regarding product availability and purchase orders
  • Manages logistics for plant material by ensuring timely, economical, and freight-efficient deliveries from vendors
  • Any other duties as assigned
