What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior procurement professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Senior Procurement professional, you need expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and a relevant degree such as business, supply chain management, or procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM). Familiarity with procurement software (like SAP Ariba or Oracle Procurement Cloud), e-sourcing platforms, and data analysis tools is typically required.
