Procurement Agent (Procurement Agent-General)

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level or Associate Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in Berkeley or Hazelwood, Missouri.

Position Responsibilities - Entry Level 1:

  • Assists with continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.
  • Supports the sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.
  • Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities.

Position Responsibilities - Associate Level 2:

  • Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.
  • Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements.
  • Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.
  • Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrates program, customer, product and program strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies
  • Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions
  • Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management
  • Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies
  • Travel expected to be less than 10%

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 1 year of experience in Supply Chain and/or Supply Chain Management
  • More than 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Customer Service

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred
  • Experience in contracts and proposals
  • Experience leading supplier terms & conditions and price negotiations
  • Experience negotiating price and schedule with suppliers and customers
  • Experience using SAP software

Typical Education/Experience:

Entry Level 1: Typically related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Associate Level 2: Typically 3 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
