Job Overview:

Pay Range: $34.06hr - $39.06hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Typically possesses 3+ years of experience in negotiating and purchasing.
  • Thorough knowledge and demonstrated ability to apply principles of financial analysis, activity based costing and supply chain methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to gather client requirements and negotiate support requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Three or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and document internal/external customer requirements.
  • Monitor projects, schedules and identify problems, maintaining priorities for work in process.
  • Communicate across functions to report risks and issues.
  • Assist with source selections and document purchase orders within authority.
  • Administer changes and enforce purchase order notes, terms, and conditions.
  • Participate in new business acquisition and the product/project development and management process.
  • Gather performance data to monitor supplier capability, capacity, and business health.
  • Participate in supplier performance reviews and cross functional improvement teams.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and development of improvement plans and monitor progress.
  • Maintain relationships and communications with internal/external stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Ensure import and export requirements are met.
  • Assist in driving innovation, improving ways of working, and enhancing supplier management systems.
  • Aid in executing purchasing and sourcing strategies, addressing short-term and long-term material requirements.
  • Assist with the undertaking of analysis supporting the resolution of risk issues and gap identification.
  • Participate in the negotiation process to achieve best value and commercial terms and conditions of moderately complex purchase orders, change orders, requests for proposals, and contracts/agreements.
  • Aid in training peers and other stakeholders on the procurement process.
  • Help maintain effective stakeholder relationships with internal customers to become a trusted business partner.
  • Aid in identifying critical suppliers and create appropriate engagement plans to manage supply chain risk profiles.
  • Establish structured negotiation plans with clarity of desired outcomes, leveraging stakeholder input and support.
  • Ensure the protection of all physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, and properly access and manage private data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

  • Experience using SAP software in a purchasing environment, and utilizing Ariba Sourcing, Contracting, and P2P modules.
  • Knowledge and decision making experience of purchasing practices and policies.
  • Knowledge of procurement contracts and standard terms and conditions.
  • Experience with industry best practices, standards, utility regulations, procedures and compliance as they relate to purchasing.
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience analyzing information and making strategic decisions regarding scope, impact, policy, development, and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • CPM, CPSM, CPCM, CCCM, and/or PMP certification(s).
