Position Overview
The Process Safety Management (PSM) Engineer leads process risk reduction initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities handling flammable materials. This role serves as the primary technical resource for OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance, partnering with EHS, Operations, and Engineering teams to drive safe and reliable operations. The position supports audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and process safety program execution throughout the region.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) for new and existing processes.

  • Facilitate Management of Change (MOC) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.

  • Identify, design, and implement process safety engineering controls.

  • Support OSHA PSM and EPA RMP program compliance activities.

  • Conduct incident investigations and manage corrective actions.

  • Support mechanical integrity and preventive maintenance programs.

  • Maintain process safety information and system documentation.

  • Track safety metrics and support compliance audits and training.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Safety, or related Engineering field.

  • 5+ years of process safety experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of OSHA PSM and EPA Risk Management Program requirements.

  • Experience leading PHAs, MOCs, incident investigations, and compliance audits.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing sites.

  • Background with flammable solvents or hazardous chemical processes.

  • Experience developing mechanical integrity programs.

  • Professional Engineer (PE), CSP, or related certification.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $100,000-$125,000.
