The Project Manager II is responsible for leading a team of professionals in completing projects by an established deadline to uphold business initiatives. This position oversees and manages activities associated with the design and supply of industrial equipment and system projects. This position will interact with the customer and project team to ensure that the planning, scheduling, and coordination of resources are in alignment with budget, scope and timeline for a successful project.
Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Leverage demonstrated experience and success at project planning, controlling and closing, effective stakeholder management and consensus building; requires full lifecycle project management/oversight experience.
  • Reviews contracts to ensure compliance and protects company interests.
  • Gathers all project related documents including proposals, customer requirements, equipment selection information, and in-house specifications.
  • Assembles project team for review, coordination, and execution of project requirements.
  • Develops, adjusts, and manages project schedules and timelines based on contract requirements and project progress to ensure achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Serves as single point of project contact for external and internal Customers; assists with developing, facilitating, and controlling project communications.
  • Disseminates all project related information to appropriate team members.
  • Facilitates development of project charters, business cases, and other relevant project-related documents associated with milestones and deliverables.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining issues and risk logs, along with facilitating issue resolution and risk mitigation, with escalation when appropriate.
  • Coordinates verification and release of all project deliverables.
  • Manages execution of all project scope changes by effectively utilizing project management change processes.
  • Assists with resource planning to ensure appropriate staffing at all project phases including post-installation.
  • Monitors the project budget and provides feedback to appropriate personnel for excessive variations. Forecasts all project-related costs and expenditures.
  • Process project-related invoicing, follow up to ensure appropriate payment, and reconcile accordingly.
  • Prepares requisitions for all purchased items and services.
  • Prepare all project reports for external and internal Customers including monthly percent complete reports for accounting.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience in an original equipment design and manufacturing environment, preferably OEM Manufacturing.
  • Experience with industrial equipment engineering, design, and fabrication a plus.
  • Experience working with project scheduling and ERP software (preferably Microsoft Project and D365).
  • Knowledge of general contract terms and conditions.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents (blueprints, Process Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs), specifications, data sheets, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple, complex projects with competing priorities
  • Strong client management skills with the ability to establish, build, and maintain relationships.
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability; ability to work well under

  • Competencies, Skills & Abilities:

    KNOWLEDGE:
    • Microsoft Office Suite; ERP systems, ADP, Epicor and/or D365 is beneficial. Familiarity with EPM tools (e.g., Hyperion, TM1, etc.) preferred.

    • Customer and Personal Service (intercultural skills, service-minded) - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

    • Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

    • Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

    • Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
    • Physics - Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics, and mechanical, electrical, atomic, and sub- atomic structures and processes.
    • English Language-Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.

Work Environment: This position is based at the headquarters located in Dallas, TX. Minimal physical requirements, primarily computer use, and communication via virtual platforms, are necessary. Flexibility to adapt to occasional scheduled video meetings and collaborative tasks is essential.
