This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's leading industry to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly at our Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, TX. Specifics include:

  • Partner with Global S&OP and Manufacturing planning teams to optimize end to end supply planning execution; measure organizational performance, maintain strategy, process, and systems in alignment with the needs of the Alcon Surgical and Aseptic S&OP Franchises.

  • Global alignment of business requirements, processes, governance, and planning system configuration.

  • Provides leadership to incorporate standards and implement network supply-planning governance across the Alcon Supply Chain.

  • Identify new features/functionality for supply planning systems and determine impact and business value of implementing.

  • Collaborate with software vendor and IT COE to evaluate system upgrades and conduct impact assessment.

  • Serve as supply planning functional subject matter expert for integrating planning system with other internal system(s) like SAP ECC.

  • Collaborate with both surgical and vision care franchises and intercompany stakeholders to assess strategic, tactical, and operational supply planning improvements, unconstrained heuristics/constrained optimization, deployment/allocation, and planning simulation (what-if analysis).

  • Partner with S&OP and manufacturing teams to prioritize the portfolio of business process improvements like converting product replenishment from Pull to Push, rough cut capacity planning, finite scheduling, and obsolescence management by enabling advanced planning system functionalities, Analytics and Future system AI/decision intelligence capabilities.

  • Review and provide recommendations on manufacturing network strategy and optimal configuration of Supply Planning systems to achieve future growth and optimal utilization.

  • Review and prioritize network supply planning system-related change requests and prepare for Change Advisory Board (CAB) review.

  • Develop business cases for any APS initiative or enhancement.

  • Provide inputs to leadership team to allocate/budget funds for change requests as part of budgeting process.

  • Define education and training needs for network supply planners across the globe to upskill planners and increase supply-planning maturity.

  • Coach, mentor, and provide guidance to planning analysts as needed.

  • Review User Requirement Specifications (URS) for Planning system and provides final approval.

  • Coordinate testing and provide final signoff in deployment/migration of new functionality.

  • Collaborate with other Global Planning Excellence GPOs and Global Master Data team to provide end-to-end strategic direction for planning and planning parameters.

  • Identify and implement key performance indicators for adoption to assess effectiveness of processes and continuously monitor.

  • This is an individual contributor role.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

  • 5 Years of Relevant experience

  • Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST

  • Location: Onsite

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain, IT, or Engineering

  • Broad understanding of Supply Chain, Forecasting/Planning in Medical Device or related industry

  • Any advanced planning system, ex. SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP,technically savvy in one APS

  • Working with manufacturing plants is essential and global divisions preferred

  • Intercultural experience and ability to act in a complex and rapidly changing business environment
