Job description

*This is an onsite position located in Indianapolis, IN. LHH is seeking a Manufacturing Data Analyst for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in Indianapolis, IN. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing organization that is investing heavily in operational excellence, forecasting capabilities, and data-driven decision making. In this highly visible role, you will partner with department heads across the organization to develop reporting tools, improve planning processes, and provide analytical insights that support long-term business growth and operational scalability. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $85,000-95,000 per year and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match. ***Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.*** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable operational insights.
  • Analyze business data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and forecasting initiatives.
  • Create demand models to support production and inventory planning decisions.
  • Consolidate data from multiple systems into meaningful business intelligence reports.
  • Build and automate recurring reports using database systems, ERP software, and reporting platforms.
  • Perform variance analysis to evaluate forecast accuracy and operational performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and communicate findings to leadership teams.
  • Support capacity planning and long-term operational growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with department heads and other business partners across the organization.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms.
  • Conduct analyses to support strategic business decisions.
  • Develop new reporting structures as organizational needs evolve.
  • Evaluate inventory requirements and production demand across multiple facilities.
  • Assist with enterprise system reporting enhancements and optimization efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is required
  • Minimum of 2+ years of data analytics experience within the manufacturing industry is required
  • Must have experience working with ERP systems and operational business data
  • Must have experience creating dashboards, reports, and business intelligence tools
  • Ideal candidates will have experience supporting forecasting and S&OP initiatives
  • Ideal candidates will have experience utilizing SQL for data extraction and analysis
  • Ideal candidates will have experience performing variance analysis and demand modeling
  • Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage projects and priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business stakeholders
