Job description

Eaton's Corporate Sector is seeking a Principal Transactional Excellence Leader - Eaton Transaction System (ETS). This is a founding, enterprise-level role at the center of the Eaton Transaction System (ETS), an initiative that extends the rigor of the Eaton Business System into Eaton's SG&A and transactional functions through process excellence, process intelligence, and AI-enabled transformation. Across Eaton's transactional ecosystem, inefficiencies often exist in close cycles, contract reviews, approval workflows, reporting handoffs, and countless information and decision flows that support the business.

We are looking for a master practitioner who applies the same discipline and precision to improving these processes that world-class operations apply to manufacturing environments. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will identify broken processes, observe how work actually happens, redesign workflows alongside business stakeholders, and deliver measurable results.

You will leverage process mining and analytics where possible and partner with Solution Architecture when technical solutions are required. Success is measured by business outcomes, not activity. What makes this role truly senior is its enterprise scope.

In addition to driving improvements across the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) value stream, you will help establish the transactional excellence standards that define the "One Eaton Way" across all transactional value streams. You will combine Lean process design with agentic AI, ensuring people lead the work while automation and intelligent agents handle repeatable activities. As a founding member of the ETS Office, you will help enable Global Process Owners, establish enterprise standards, and drive measurable improvements in user experience, cycle time, productivity, quality, and SG&A efficiency.

Job Responsibilities Enterprise Transformation & Process Excellence Lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives across corporate and transactional functions, from problem identification through sustained results. Assess current-state processes using observation, stakeholder engagement, process mining, and data analysis to identify waste, variation, rework, and ineffective handoffs. Establish process visibility, measurement integrity, and accurate performance baselines; identify previously unmeasured work.

Drive root-cause resolution by improving upstream process conditions, not downstream symptoms. Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, DMADV/DFSS) to improve and redesign transactional workflows. Perform root-cause analysis, evaluate process capability, validate outcomes, and implement sustainable controls and governance.

Partner with process owners and Solution Architecture teams to align process, technology, and system capabilities. Quantify business impact through improvements in cost, quality, speed, risk, and productivity. Coach leaders and teams in continuous improvement disciplines and capability building.

Enterprise Standards & AI-Enabled Workflows Define and maintain enterprise transactional standards and exception-management protocols across Procure-to-Pay (P2P). Design AI-enabled and automated workflows that follow a standardize-before-automate approach and Lean principles. Collaborate with Solution Architecture to maximize existing platform capabilities before pursuing custom solutions.

Partner with Process Intelligence teams to advance process mining, conformance monitoring, and performance analytics. Leadership & Capability Building Advise Global Process Owners and senior leaders on value-stream design, governance, and performance management. Support enterprise scorecards and value-realization frameworks tied to SG&A outcomes.

Lead ETS training, certification, and practitioner development programs. Mentor transactional excellence practitioners and functional improvement leaders. Serve as a founding member of the ETS Office, helping establish operating rhythms, standards, governance, and integration frameworks for future acquisitions.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $165000 - $242000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Qualifications: Basic (Required) Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 10 years of experience leading process improvement and business transformation initiatives for Procure-to-Pay Value Stream.

Authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications 12+ years of experience driving process improvement and transformation within transactional and corporate functions such as Finance, HR, Procurement, Legal, Communications, Shared Services, or Corporate Operations. Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification with experience coaching and developing practitioners.

Demonstrated expertise applying DMAIC and DMADV/DFSS methodologies with documented, measurable results. Strong analytical capabilities, including process capability analysis, statistical validation, and performance measurement. Advanced process mapping skills, including value stream mapping, SIPOC, and swim-lane analysis.

Experience establishing enterprise process standards, operating models, or business systems across multiple functions and regions. Hands-on experience using process mining platforms (e.g., Celonis) to drive process improvements. Experience implementing automation, RPA, and AI solutions within transactional or back-office environments

Working knowledge of ERP transaction processing and configuration, including approvals, controls, matching logic, tolerances, and master data management. Proven ability to influence executive leaders and drive enterprise change without formal authority. Experience improving knowledge-work processes where the primary output is information, decisions, or documentation.

Formal change management certification or expertise (Prosci, ADKAR, or equivalent). Experience helping build a Center of Excellence, transformation office, or shared-services organization. Familiarity with modern data platforms and human-in-the-loop AI solutions.

All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process. All candidates will be evaluated based on job-related competencies, and all candidates' privacy rights and data security will be protected in accordance with applicable laws. We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
