  • Analyzing, mapping, and redesigning business processes across legal and business services teams, with a focus on leveraging AI and automation.
  • Identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for transformation, both AI-driven and non-AI, stemming from the Services Review and other strategic initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining process documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across practice groups and departments to understand variations in workflows and pain points.
  • Contributing to future-state design and roadmap development for firm-wide operational processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Project & Change Management

  • Supporting the implementation of service review recommendations using a tiered resourcing model.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Client Service Delivery, Professional Resources, IT, Platform Solutions Team) to deliver transformation projects.
  • Assisting in the execution and monitoring of the mt2030 strategy, including periodic reviews and reporting on action plans.
  • Contributing to change management initiatives to foster a culture of operational excellence and enablement.
  • Supporting pilot testing of new workflows, monitoring adoption, and iterating processes based on feedback to enhance outcomes over time.
  • Recommending resourcing models and structures that support improved workflows on a cost-neutral or efficiency-gaining basis.

AI & Data Strategy Support

  • Working with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver AI use cases for both client-facing and internal applications (e.g., contract analysis, legal research, practice management, HR, billing workflows).
  • Supporting the coordination and eventual migration of firmwide data governance activities to the Transformation team.
  • Assisting in the development and rollout of AI training programs for lawyers and business services staff.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to evaluate where automation and AI can streamline processes and reduce friction points in operational workflows.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Facilitating workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather requirements and communicate project progress.
  • Preparing clear and concise reports, presentations, and updates for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Board of Partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Promoting accountability and alignment across modules and work groups within the ATS structure.

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP, CBAP) an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, process engineering, or transformation roles, ideally within professional services, legal, or consulting environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with process mapping, workflow redesign, and requirements gathering.
  • Familiarity with AI applications, data governance, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong project management and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with M365 and process automation tools is a requirement.
  • Experience with other enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow) is an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead or support complex, multi-stakeholder projects with a strong focus on aligning business needs with transformation outcomes.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a results-driven approach to operational excellence.

As a member of the McCarthy team, you will have access to:

  • Outstanding benefits from day one, including insurance premiums paid by the Firm and wellness and technology reimbursements.
  • Competitive compensation, paid overtime and generous time off, including a day off to volunteer and a day off for your birthday.
  • A commitment to professional development and growth opportunities for our people at all levels, supported by a culture that fully embraces and encourages two-way feedback.
  • Strong community involvement and a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
