REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of hands- on experience in injection molding process engineering
  • Proficiency in injection molding machines ( e.g Arburg, Engel, Husky, Milacron, etc.)
  • Knowledge of thermoplastic materials, mold design, and processing parameters.
  • Familiarity with scientific molding principles and tools such as RJG or Decoupled Molding. (PLUS)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and optimize injection molding processes for new and existing products
  • Set up, start up, and validate injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment
  • Analyze and resolve process issues including scrap reduction, cycle time optimization and defect mitigation.
  • Collaborate with tooling engineers, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure efficient manufacturing.
  • Maintain detailed process documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Assist with mold trials, DOE (Design of Experiments), and capability studies.
  • Train operators and technicians on molding processes and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to read, write & speak English
  • Will perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to hear machine alarms
  • Good mobility, energy level & ability to routinely lift 50 pounds
  • Requires good visual acuity and the ability to detect visual changes in plastic
  • Able to climb ladders up to 6 feet
  • Physical strength to perform ratcheting motion to torque settings
  • Good mobility for high physical activity including but not limited to reaching, standing, stooping, squatting, & crawling to access machine areas


Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually
