What's in it for you:
As a Manufacturing Engineer your role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.
What you will do:
  • Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology
  • Assumes responsibility for Capital planning, CER creations and Approvals, Capital Project Timing and Implementation, Capital Spending and Budgeting/ Assumes responsibility for Plant VA/VE Savings
  • Ensures all equipment meets OSHA compliant safety regulations
  • Drives engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including: PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean Tools, Project Management and Simultaneous Engineering
  • Manages, develops and improves manufacturing standards including machine capability and capacity, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's Engineering Degree required
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Qualified candidate must possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with lean principles and techniques to include Visual Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Cycle Time Reduction and Process Balancing, Yokoten, 5S, Set Up Reduction (SMED), and Kanban.
  • Strong analytic skills, with ability to clearly link operational performance drivers to financial results.
  • PLC Programming and Automation knowledge is a plus.

Key Competencies:
  • New product development understanding.
  • Ability to utilize engineering principles to develop robust manufacturing processes the first time.
  • Ability to use such management-leadership techniques such as; project mgt., objective development and project review disciplines.
  • Fluent knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, assembly and quality control processes.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive engineering principles and processes.
  • Understanding of Lean, 3P, Kaizen and Six Sigma programs.
  • Knowledge of new model launch requirements and processes to ensure flawless launch goals.
  • PC Skills: Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint and MS Project.
  • Experience in 2D/3D Modeling software (AutoCAD, Pro-E) is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Requires cross functional communication, simultaneous engineering and reporting.
  • Ability to resolve multiple conflicts between widely varying personalities.
  • Ability to guide and lead non-technical & technical personnel to technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated implementation of root cause analysis and solutions.
