Job description

The Process Engineering Manager leads the Process Engineering Department and oversees the work of our Process Engineers, ensuring they effectively support all product lines through disciplined process control, continuous improvement, and technical problem solving. This role drives enhancements in quality, output, efficiency, and waste reduction while strengthening process stability and longterm cost performance. The manager also applies knowledge of cold/hot foil transfer materials in the production processes to guide engineering initiatives, support troubleshooting, and elevate manufacturing capability across all operations.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of cold/hot foil transfer materials, including foil layer structure, adhesion mechanisms, and UV/thermal production processes, to strengthen manufacturing quality, stability, and cost performance.
  • Report progress, milestones, and completion of processimprovement initiatives and technical projects to the Plant Manager, ensuring clear communication and alignment with operational goals.
  • Initiate, manage, and sustain improvements that enhance process reliability, reduce variability, and optimize longterm manufacturing efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Department Managers to implement newly developed continuousimprovement measures, ensuring smooth adoption and operational consistency.
  • Investigate and identify issues related to waste, inefficiency, and process deviations; develop corrective methods and drive measurable improvements.
  • Lead and support failure analysis activities for nonconforming materials, determining root causes and establishing effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Organize projects, priorities, and workflow to align with Plant Manager directives, ensuring timely execution and crossdepartmental coordination.
  • Produce, interpret, and present data findingsโ€”both formally and informallyโ€”to stakeholders across production, engineering, logistics, and leadership teams.
  • Review existing SOPs, identify gaps, and introduce structured improvements that reinforce process control and operational excellence.
  • Advocate, implement, and sustain 6S Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve workplace organization, efficiency, and safety.
  • Maintain and promote a clean, safe, and compliant working environment; enforce strict safety guidelines, KTP policies, and standards of conduct.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving departmental and operational requirements.
  • Domestic and International Travel (<10%).
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

  • Collaboration: Prefers teamwork and collaboration.
  • Communication: Collaborate clearly with Quality dept., operators, helpers, and team members to ensure smooth production flow in person and via email.
  • Project management: Ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performance maintenance teams.

  • Continuous improvement: maintain and improve process optimization
  • BS degree in technical engineeringย field with 5 years of related experience.
  • 2+yrs leading a group of Process Engineers or in a Sr role of Process Improvement Project Manager
  • Experience with Laquer, Color Theory,ย foil layer structure, adhesion mechanisms, and UV Curing Process
  • Lean Six Sigma certification, Lean Management- and continuous improvement experience are a plus
  • Proficient computer literacy with Advanced knowledge in general applications; word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and SAP systems.
  • Experience in high speed manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience with gravure, offset, flexographic, silk screen, and digital printing technologies and processes a plus
