You'll combine process engineering, automation, data analytics, and continuous improvement to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and develop the next generation of automated manufacturing solutions. What You'll Do

  • Lead and optimize assigned manufacturing processes to improve yield, quality, productivity, and process stability.
  • Monitor process performance, analyze data trends, and drive root cause investigations for quality and equipment issues.
  • Design, maintain, and improve PLC, HMI, SCADA, and other control systems supporting fiber manufacturing operations.
  • Implement automation and process control improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for process, automation, instrumentation, and equipment-related challenges.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve plant performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement, cost reduction, and capital project initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Support new product introductions, process qualifications, and equipment upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, KPIs, reporting tools, and control system standards.
  • Collaborate with global Prysmian engineering teams to share best practices and implement innovative manufacturing solutions.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and provide occasional off-hours support as needed.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with large data sets and making data-driven decisions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with optical fiber manufacturing (VAD, OVD, AVD, PCVD, preform manufacturing, fiber draw, coating, or related processes) is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing, process control, industrial automation, or process engineering environments.
  • Experience with PLC programming platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and process improvement methodologies such as SPC, Minitab, Six Sigma, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with motion control systems, machine vision, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience managing capital projects and leading cross-functional teams.
