Role Purpose

Corning is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Process Electrical Engineer with strong process-electrical fundamentals to join our TOD Design team. In this role, you will design and implement innovative electrical systems and solutions to support manufacturing processes and product development initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and ensure compliance with global industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components to support advanced manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions for advanced manufacturing systems.
  • Execute multiple projects from initiation to completion.  Develop Scope, Cost Estimates, and Schedule.  Identify risks and risk mitigation plans.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in manufacturing environments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including NEC, NFPA, and IEC guidelines.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Provide Third-Level support for troubleshooting equipment issues
Experiences/Education - Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably as an Electrical Design engineer.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, UL508A).
  • Hands-on experience with Low Voltage (480VAC) electrical systems: SCR, Transformers, Power Distribution, Motor controls/VFD, and PLC.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • This position will require up to 25% travel domestically and internationally.
Experiences/Education - Desired
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or DMAIC principles.
  • Project Skills, Project Leadership
  • Familiarity with MATLAB & Simulink.

The range for this position is $88,834.00 - $122,148.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
