Are you ready to make an impact on manufacturing performance ? If so, then we have an oppotunity for you!
We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to join our Egineering department with US Smokeless Tobacco Company in Hopkinsville, KY.
Your primary role will be to drive continuous improvement by developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes that support safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. Working closely with Integrated Work Systems (IWS) teams and cross-functional partners, you will identify opportunities to enhance productivity, quality, and overall operational performance.
This position is fully onsite in Hopkinsville, KY, with approximately 30-40% regional travel to Clarksville, TN, and Nashville, TN.
What you will be doing:
  • Develop expert level process knowledge of manufacturing operations
  • Proactively identify process constraints and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze data and apply problem-solving techniques to facilitate design improvements for processes, systems, and/or equipment.
  • Lead and facilitate actions to resolve equipment constraints and challenges as appropriate.
  • Provide technical on-floor support during equipment downtime and production issues.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support project FAT/SAT execution, commissioning and qualification.
  • Ensure proper documentation, backups, and change management processes.
  • Assist with capital and expense project planning, budgeting, and timelines.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
  • Support Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and operational excellence initiatives.

What we want you to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 3+ years of engineering technical support experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with VFDs, servo systems, instrumentation, and electrical systems
  • Experience supporting high-speed automated manufacturing equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project coordination skills
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in food, beverage or consumer packaged goods manufacturing
  • Experience with automated processing and packaging systems
  • Knowledge of batch systems and process automation
  • Experience with OEE and manufacturing data systems
  • Knowledge of OSHA and machine safety standards

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $91,500.00 - $132,750.00.
