Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Execute pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation to support cell bank and process characterization
  • Apply fundamental scientific and engineering principles to process design, development, and process understanding
  • Apply DOE principles to study design for bank/process characterization
  • Create, document and review electronic lab notebook (Benchling), while ensuring data integrity
  • Support general lab operations and inventory management, including material projections and ordering, general equipment maintenance, and upkeep of lab cleanliness
  • Prepare, interpret and present data generated from lab studies
  • Coordinate study requirements cross-functionally, including analytical development and supply chain
  • Effectively collaborate with a fully integrated team to facilitate the success of projects and participate in team scientific discussions

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Process development experience in a bio-pharmaceutical setting working with interdisciplinary and cross-cultural teams
  • Experience with pluripotent stem cell culture and directed differentiation preferred
  • Experience with 2D and 3D mammalian cell culture and aseptic processing, including associated equipment such as cell processing devices and bioreactors
  • Strong organizational skills and effective communication skills to communicate technical and scientific information within a team
  • Willingness to learn, contribute, and troubleshoot, with a team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, including effective communication of findings, progress, and problems
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and to maintain detailed and accurate records and notes
  • Must be skilled in the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with electronic lab notebook and data management preferred
  • Occasional weekend work to support cell culture and/or bioreactor activities will be required.

Education and Experience:
  • A Master's degree in Biochemistry, Engineering, Biology or related discipline and 0-2 years of experience or BS degree and 4+ years of experience

Contract Length: 12-months contract with the chance to extend
Pay Range
$38/hr. - $40/hr.
