Human Resources Coordinator

As a Human Resources Coordinator, you are an integral member of Metronet’s Associate Resources/Human Resources team.  This role will support the day-to-day transactions and policy administration relating to all phases of the Associate’s life cycle.  This includes, but isn’t limited to, onboarding new hires and processing Associate transfers, maintain associate records, answering general questions asked of the Associate Resources team, and assisting in associate and team event planning – just to name a few. Our Associate Resources Coordinators are the first point of contact for many of our associates.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as the primary contact for requests that are submitted by associates via email, phone, and Case Manager (UKG – People Assist)
  • Onboard associates from start to finish while creating a positive first experience with Metronet
  • Assist the facilitation and logistics of new hire orientation and training
  • Review and distribute mail that is addressed to the Associate Resources team
  • Maintain associate information, personnel records and HR files. Process associate data in the HRIS, create and maintain associate reports
  • Support the performance management cycle in Goal Setting and Performance Reviews as needed
  • Collaborate with other HR team members and leverage their expertise in delivering and implementing functional initiatives
  • Audit associate information using the HRIS for accuracy and compliance
  • Recommend new approaches and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
  • Provide administrative support to the Associate Resources team
  • Communicate, facilitate and champion HR programs and company-wide initiatives such as associate engagement and recognition
  • Provide support for activities relating to associate benefits including but not limited to open enrollment, associate recognition, and Wellness
  • Assist with associate resources event planning
  • Serve as back up to all HR functions as needed
  • Other job-related duties as requested

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Experience in Human Resources positions preferred.
  • Proficient use of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • HRIS and UltiPro experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license/satisfactory driving record
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to successfully complete multiple tasks in required time frames.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail. Timely and accurate execution of administrative HR responsibilities and compliance activities.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills. Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, re-prioritize based on business demands coupled with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Self-directed and motivated – able to take initiative to identify and anticipate needs and make recommendations for implementation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, an effective and active listener and have effective interpersonal, persuasive, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule depending on the needs of the business. Occasional availability in early mornings and evenings to accommodate a 3-shift operation may be required.
  • Up to 10% travel required to support remote sites and attend business meetings as needed.
