Job description

Manager of Financial Reporting, 14,526

Our client is seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting, to join our Accounting team based in Northern Virginia

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the interim and annual financial reporting processes, which includes the preparation and distribution of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and managementโ€™s discussion and analysis to the Companyโ€™s internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete preparation of variance analyses
  • Complete disclosure checklists to ensure financial statements and footnote disclosures are in compliance with applicable requirements
  • Provide technical support on accounting disclosure issues to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and enhance internal controls for internal and external reporting processes, including the review of the Companyโ€™s process narratives and policies around disclosure controls and internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)
  • Assist with the month-end consolidation process
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting requirements or disclosure requirements in coordination with the technical accounting team and external auditors
  • Assist with Companyโ€™s review of contracts for accounting implications to determine reporting and disclosure requirements
  • Other duties as required and assigned

Qualifications:

  • Current CPA designation
  • 7+ years of related experience (3+ years SEC experience)
  • Strong knowledge of SEC reporting and US GAAP
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of current reporting matters
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Experience with Workiva Wdesk platform, preferred
  • XBRL experience, preferred
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential material
