Job description

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for: Providing professional coordination and leadership in the execution of his/her duties and serves as the customer main point of contact for approved requests. The PM will provide overall leadership and guidance for all personnel assigned to the Facility Support Services. The PM will have the authority to commit personnel for the warehouse logistics organization and make decisions for the Company in response to Government issues or problems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager/Logistics Specialist is responsible for:
  • All activities assigned by the COR, FSI Policy and Procedures and in accordance with Work Orders, Room Reservation System and Supplies.
  • The quality and efficiency of task order performance to include both technical issues and the business process operations.
  • Responsible for assigning tasks to contractor personnel, supervise ongoing logistical efforts and manage the overall Task Order performance.
  • Availability to respond to customer questions, concerns, and comments, as well as be proactive in alerting the Government to potential contractual or programmatic issues.
  • Monthly statistical reports of activities (e.g., room set-ups, work orders completed, etc.) with a monthly 10% random supply inventory to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • Implementing SOP for Facility Support Services at the Foreign Service Institute.
  • Reports:
  1. Yearly Accomplishment Report (Fiscal Year)
  2. Daily/Monthly Accomplishment Report
  3. Warehouse Daily/Monthly Accomplishment Report
  4. Warehouse Daily/Monthly Card Stock/Paper Inventory Report
  5. Daily/Monthly Paper Stock/Delivery Report
  6. Storage Closet Inventory Report
  7. 10% Random Warehouse Inventory Report (Monthly)
  8. Government Vehicle Mileage/Usage Report
  9. Daily Personnel Attendance Report

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Candidate must demonstrate capability to manage classroom, mailroom and warehouse support operations in addition to the following:
  • Manage and supervise employees performing support and providing services in various functional areas.
  • Ability to analyze workload and forecast requirements
  • Prepare and deliver briefings to the government's staff members at the Foreign Service Institute.
  • Ability to work with computer systems, software, programs and use websites to perform duties
  • Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Licensed and ability to drive vehicles
  • Knowledge and experience planning and coordinating meetings, classroom set ups and conferences
  • Ability to fill out forms and address labels to include accountability reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  1. U.S. citizenship
  2. Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET clearance
  3. High School Diploma
  4. Must have a minimum of (3-4) years of project management experience
  5. Must be knowledgeable of warehouse operations to include shipping and receiving functions.
  6. Fluency in the English Language
  7. Possess a valid driver's license
  8. Effective oral and written communication skill
  9. The ability to follow technical direction as delivered by the CO, COR, ACOR, or GTM.
  10. The ability to interact effectively in a multicultural setting
  11. Ability to exercise independent judgement when necessary
  12. Ability to perform physical labor in all categories
