Role: Mainframe Developer (IMS DC)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)
W2 Candidate Only
Mainframe resources with COBOL, IMS DB/DC.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with expertise in COBOL, JCL, and IMS DBA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe application development, database administration, and system optimization. Experience with IMS DC and CICS is a plus.a
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and JCL.
  • Perform IMS database administration tasks, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Design and implement batch processing solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, backup, and recovery processes for IMS databases.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and optimize mainframe applications for efficiency.
  • Provide support for incident resolution and problem management.
  • Document system configurations, workflows, and technical procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, and IMS DBA.
  • Expertise in mainframe database administration, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of mainframe utilities and debugging tools.
  • Ability to write and optimize complex JCL scripts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Good to Have:
  • Experience with IMS DC and CICS for transaction processing.
  • Exposure to modern mainframe tools and technologies.

Education & Certifications:
