The Accounting Manager is a strategic, individual contributor role that will be responsible for overseeing complex financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving month-end close processes without direct personnel management duties. Working closely with the Senior Vice President of Finance and the Controller, this position will work to maintain the financial integrity of our corporate departments.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate monthly accounting, close processes and financial reporting for corporate departments
  • Provide financial liaison support to department colleagues ensuring appropriate accounting of activity and meaningful analysis in support of department operational strategies
  • Provide corporate department accounting and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with current accounting controls and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the accounting processes
  • Provide guidance and support for financial audits by liaising with the external auditors
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and accrual accounting
  • Communicate and work with all levels of corporate management
  • Assist departments leaders in the annual budget cycle process

Qualifications
  • Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Major: Accounting or Finance Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
  • Education Details: Certifications and/or Licenses: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
  • Customarily has at least five (5) years of experience managing full cycle month end close process, account reconciliation and variance analysis
  • Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite and Hyperion tools (HFM, Smartview, Essbase) is a plus
  • Experience with dealing with multiple entities, Public Accounting and/or partnership accounting is preferred

  • Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
