Senior Manager, IT/OT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

Reporting to the Head of Energy Markets & Software Solutions, the Senior Manager, IT/OT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity is a leadership role responsible for the strategy, delivery, and ongoing management of PowerON's information and operational technology systems. Working in close collaboration with the Systems Integration team, this role plays a critical part in enabling PowerON's operations ensuring that infrastructure and security programs are robust, scalable, and resilient.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Drive PowerON's IT/OT infrastructure governance strategy, aligned to business growth and fleet electrification program objectives.

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of IT/OT policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.

Infrastructure Design & Delivery

  • Provide SME input to the design, configuration, and deployment of IT/OT infrastructure across electrification projects, including OT networks, servers, virtualization environments, firewalls, and industrial communications systems.

  • Own disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring tested and documented recovery procedures are in place.

Network & OT Systems Management

  • Work closely with the Systems Integration team, to ensure correct configuration and ongoing performance of network components across IT and OT environments, including managed switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.

  • Monitor network performance, proactively identify risks, and drive continuous improvement.

Cybersecurity

  • Manage PowerON's cybersecurity program, including risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance with applicable standards (e.g., NIST CSF, IEC 62443).

  • Conduct and oversee regular security audits and assessments across IT and OT systems.

  • Develop and maintain security policies and controls in alignment with requirements and industry best practices.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity matters with internal stakeholders, auditors, and third-party assessors.

IT Operations Governance

  • Provide oversight and strategic direction for IT service delivery, with day-to-day execution managed by internal IT and Managed Services Provider (MSP).

  • Set performance expectations and governance standards for the MSP relationship, including SLA accountability, escalation paths, and periodic reviews.

  • Maintain visibility into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, endpoint management, and internal IT operations.

  • Own vendor relationships and contracts for IT/OT services, negotiate agreements, and manage budgets to deliver value and accountability.

  • Provide oversight of incident and problem management processes, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in IT/OT infrastructure, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute infrastructure strategy in a multi-site, operational environment.

  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, server infrastructure, virtualization, and systems security.

  • Familiarity with enterprise firewall platforms (e.g. Fortinet/FortiGate)

  • Experience with the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune/Endpoint Manager.

  • Proven track record of significantly contributing to a cybersecurity program, including policy development and risk management.
