Probation Manager information

What is a probation manager?

Probation Managers are professionals who oversee the work of probation officers and ensure that individuals on probation comply with the terms set by the court. They are responsible for supervising staff, managing caseloads, developing rehabilitation programs, and ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. Probation Managers also coordinate with law enforcement, courts, and community organizations to support the successful reintegration of offenders into society. Their role is crucial in balancing public safety with the rehabilitation of offenders.

What are some common challenges faced by probation managers in supervising both staff and caseloads?

Probation Managers often encounter the challenge of balancing administrative responsibilities with direct staff supervision and oversight of complex caseloads. Managing staff performance, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, and addressing resource limitations can be demanding. Additionally, they must handle high-stress situations, such as crises involving offenders, while fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment. Effective communication, organizational skills, and adaptability are key to successfully navigating these challenges and promoting positive outcomes for both staff and clients.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a probation manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Probation Manager, you need expertise in criminal justice, case management, and leadership, typically supported by a relevant degree and professional experience in probation or corrections. Familiarity with case management software, risk assessment tools, and knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks is essential. Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and organizational skills help in supervising staff and collaborating with justice system stakeholders. These skills ensure effective oversight of probation officers, compliance with legal standards, and successful rehabilitation outcomes for clients.

Job description

Job Title: Studio Manager

Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Reports To: Franchise Owner

Position Overview: The Studio Manager is a revenue-focused leader responsible for driving sales growth, lead generation, and brand visibility for the studio. This role owns the execution of sales strategy and marketing initiatives while ensuring the studio is fully optimized to convert prospects into long-term members. While operational oversight and team leadership are key parts of the role, sales performance, marketing execution, and revenue accountability are the top priorities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership: Own and consistently achieve studio sales targets across all revenue streams: memberships, packages, and retail. Build, manage, and optimize the full sales funnel: lead capture, follow-up, conversion, and retention.

  • Team Management: Recruit, hire, onboard, train, supervise, coach, and mentor all studio staff. Establish clear performance expectations, specifically holding Wellness Sales Associates accountable to sales processes, scripts, KPIs, and individual commission structures.

  • Lead Generation & Outreach: Responsible for lead generation via grassroots marketing initiatives, community outreach, in-person networking, local partnerships, and event planning and attendance. Build and maintain B2B relationships that generate consistent referral traffic.

  • Communication: Execute and manage digital marketing efforts and inbound/outbound communication via phone call, SMS, email campaigns, text campaigns, and social media messaging.

  • In-Studio Revenue: Personally generate sales through in-studio, phone, online, and event-based selling. Oversee in-studio revenue-driving activities, including first visit presentations, missed guest follow-ups, retail strategy, and corporate sales.

  • Client Experience & Retention: Implement proven retention strategies that increase usage, satisfaction, and lifetime value through events, ongoing communication, and additional tactics. Ensure a high-quality client journey from first touchpoint through long-term membership.

  • Facility & Financial Management: Manage studio budget, marketing spend, and performance reporting. Maintain studio readiness including cleanliness, inventory, and facility needs. Collaborate closely with the Studio Owner and Corporate Sales & Marketing teams.

Traits for Success:

  • Highly motivated by goals and confident in closing sales personally while skilled at training teams to do the same.

  • Fluent in current marketing tactics and data-driven improvement strategies.

  • Professional, punctual, reliable, and trustworthy with a team-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to assess KPIs, identify gaps, and take decisive action.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to handle high temperatures above 135 degrees for short periods of time.

  • Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Must be able to maintain clean saunas for members, which involves getting in and out of the sauna and reaching overhead to adjust settings.

  • Must be able to bend, kneel, and squat to access and adjust the saunas as needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary based on experience and performance.

  • Lucrative bonus structure tied directly to consistent month-over-month studio revenue growth and achieving total studio membership qualifiers. Revenue targets feature a capped baseline increase to continuously reward outstanding performance.

  • Note: Full compensation and bonus details are outlined in your official offer letter and are subject to a 30-day probationary tracking period upon any structure changes.
