To thrive as a Privacy Specialist, you need comprehensive knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, experience with risk assessment, and often a relevant degree or certification such as CIPP or CIPM. Familiarity with privacy management platforms, data mapping tools, and compliance reporting systems is commonly required.
