Job description

Screen Pro Graphics is seeking a highly organized, driven, and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all areas of apparel decoration production, including Screen Printing, Embroidery, DTG (Direct-to-Garment), and DTF (Direct-to-Film).

This leadership role is responsible for managing daily production operations, improving workflow efficiency, maintaining quality standards, leading production teams, and helping scale operational systems as the company continues to grow.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced production environment, and a mindset focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

This individual will work closely with ownership, sales, art, and production departments to ensure deadlines, quality standards, and production goals are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations across all decoration departments:
    • Screen Printing
    • Embroidery
    • DTG Production
    • DTF Production
  • Manage production schedules and workflow priorities to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor production capacity, labor efficiency, and department performance.
  • Coordinate production planning with sales, customer service, art, and fulfillment teams.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
  • Develop scalable workflows and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Team Leadership & Accountability

  • Lead, motivate, and manage production staff and department leads.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Conduct employee coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and workforce development.
  • Ensure departments are properly staffed and operating efficiently.
  • Hold team members accountable for productivity, quality, and attendance standards.

Quality Control

  • Maintain high-quality production standards across all departments.
  • Ensure artwork, print quality, embroidery quality, color accuracy, and garment finishing meet company standards.
  • Reduce production errors, reprints, spoilage, and downtime.
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures.

Process Improvement & Technology

  • Continuously evaluate workflow efficiency and production systems.
  • Assist with implementation of automation tools, AI-assisted workflows, and production software integrations.
  • Help improve communication between departments through operational systems and reporting.
  • Recommend equipment, software, and workflow improvements to increase output and reduce waste.

Inventory & Equipment Oversight

  • Oversee inventory management for garments, inks, thread, film, supplies, and consumables.
  • Coordinate purchasing and vendor communication as needed.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance schedules and production readiness.
  • Help reduce waste and improve material usage efficiency.

Reporting & Performance Metrics

  • Track production KPIs including:
    • Output efficiency
    • Turnaround times
    • Error/reprint rates
    • Labor productivity
    • Department capacity
  • Provide operational updates and reporting to ownership.
  • Assist with forecasting production needs and growth planning.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in apparel decoration, print production, manufacturing, or production operations management strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Screen Printing, Embroidery, DTG, or DTF production is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of workflow optimization and process improvement.
