What is print procurement?

Print procurement refers to the process of sourcing, purchasing, and managing printed materials for a business or organization. This includes selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring quality and timely delivery of products such as brochures, packaging, business cards, and promotional items. Print procurement professionals work to optimize costs, maintain brand consistency, and ensure that printed materials meet the required specifications. They often collaborate with marketing, design, and production teams to fulfill organizational needs efficiently.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a print procurement specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Print Procurement Specialist, you need expertise in supply chain management, vendor negotiation, and an understanding of print production processes, often supported by a degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with procurement software, print specification tools, and contract management systems is typically required.
