Job description

Title:ย Executive Assistant to the Principal
Reports to:ย Principal
Definition:ย The executive assistant to the principal manages the principal's schedules, appointments, messages, and calendar. This position practices the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
Major Policy Responsibility:ย The busy office environment requires high levels of concentration while coping with frequent interruptions.
Duties and Responsibilities:







  1. Manage the principal's calendar.
  2. Maintains staff and student records.
  3. Takes and returns phone calls and messages for the principal.
  4. Coordinates parent and visitor interaction with the principal.
  5. Places orders through the official purchasing system on behalf of the principal and building.
  6. Manages office supplies and inventory.
  7. Manages school supplies and inventory.
  8. Knows emergency protocols.
  9. Collaborates with the Building Coordinator and the Attendance Secretary.
  10. Serve as a point of contact for the principal.
  11. Support after school and evening events.
  12. Coordinate event check in and security.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Excellent customer service under pressure.
  2. Be at least 18 years of age with some college preferred.
  3. Ability to follow both written and oral directions.
  4. Willing to work with and around adults and children.
  5. Follow work schedules and procedures.
  6. Be willing to learn new skills and follow directions.
  7. Has computer skills and is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Platform, phone systems, intercom, copy machines, fax machines.
  8. Bilingual preferred.ย
