About the Role:
Our PE-Backed client is looking for a Principal Financial Analyst to join their team. This candidate will support the overall budgeting, forecasting, and modeling across the Company. This role will require an agile FP&A candidate to contribute as an individual as well as collaboratively be part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver analyses, forecasts, and reporting on the financial health of the company and the impact of decisions that span across various teams.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports including analysis of business performance, inventory trends, and balance sheet data.
  • Produce comprehensive data packages and financial presentations explicitly structured for Board of Directors review.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and lead efforts to improve, streamline, and automate core corporate finance processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader accounting department to monitor gross margin fluctuations and drive EBITDA expansion.
  • Support M&A integration by evaluating financial performance and onboarding historical models from newly acquired entities.
  • Utilize Adaptive Planning and OfficeConnect on a daily basis to bridge live Excel models directly with the core ERP system
  • Own and maintain complex financial models for actual, forecast, and planning processes.
  • Provide financial modeling to drive an understanding of the short and long-term financial (P&L and Cash Flow) implications for significant business decisions.
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies to improve our reporting and business performance.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior leadership to support business decisions.
  • Produce monthly actual-to-budget reporting by preparing variance reports using data insights to identify trends and pertinent financial highlights.
  • Partner with departments to deliver accurate financial forecasting including analysis and recommendations.

  • Required Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent directly related work experience from a Top University
    • Experience with databases/planning tools such as Hyperion, Cognos, Oracle EPM, TM1, systems used at larger scale companies, etc.
    • Highly analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Eye for details - attention to quality and accuracy is of paramount importance in this role.
