Job description

An architecture firm that specializes in designing innovative and functional healthcare facilities is seeking a Principal Healthcare Architect to help them lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex healthcare environments that enhance patient outcomes and operational excellence. In this role, you'll set design vision, guide teams, and partner closely with clients to translate clinical needs into high-performing facilities at their Irvine office.

Your Day Includes

  • Leading healthcare projects from programming through construction administration
  • Establishing design vision while ensuring compliance with healthcare codes and regulations
  • Driving business development efforts, including sales strategy, pursuit leadership, and proposal development
  • Managing and expanding client relationships through trusted advisory, presentations, and ongoing engagement
  • Mentoring architectural staff while providing technical oversight and quality control across projects

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture and active professional licensure (RA required)
  • 15+ years of architectural experience with a strong emphasis on healthcare facilities
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare codes (FGI, NFPA, ADA) and strong leadership and communication skills
