Job description

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee the department of Pricing Analysts to include devising and updating goals for the team, hiring, managing performance through employee appraisals, coaching, corrective actions, knowledge transfer, and team building
  • Develop tools and reporting for pricing group
  • Ensure growth in capacity, while maintaining expected margin and meeting ROIC targets
  • Make independent design and pricing decisions on new business opportunities
  • Provide training, leadership and motivation to employees to further employee development
  • Implement, analyze, and monitor processes to ensure goals are met
  • Negotiate rates with customers and coordinates with HGD Sales and Operations Teams when applicable
  • Identify market trends in pricing and capacity
  • Build and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers
  • Meet/exceed customer requirements and overall company goals
  • Establish transportation programs along with best practices for customer and company needs
  • Communicates as necessary with other Directors and Vice Presidents to ensure expectations of corporate initiatives are met
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree and/or minimum of 5 years' experience in transportation or logistics industry 
  • Undergraduate degree and/or minimum of 3 years' experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Management experience preferred
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Logistics Design software in the transportation market
  • Proficient in Data Warehouse, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Salary: Up to $110,000/year base salary + Bonus and Equity Eligibility 

This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however it may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand.
