Job description

This position will work from our Blackwell office with intentions to be based ou of Ponca City eventually.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with management of the accounting processes ensuring proper posting of business activity
  • Maintain inventory records and ensure proper recording
  • Assist in filing and maintaining all required industry, state (multi state) and federal reporting, taxes, licensure and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare financial statements to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status
  • Assist with tax returns and audits
  • Assist in the preparation of various special reports as directed
  • Monitor cash and credit balances, providing documentation to creditors as required to maintain relationships
  • Provide back-up coverage to other accounting staff as needed in areas such as payroll, accounts payable, and fuel invoicing
  • Ensure accounting practices, follow legal guidelines and established accounting principles
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly skilled in math, accounting and financial processes
  • Expert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees or organizations
  • Experience with PDI / Pricebook is beneficial
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years of Accounting/Finance experience
  • College education in accounting or related field
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft office and accounting software
Physical Requirements:
  • Position requires long periods of time sitting at a desk and occasionally walking and standing
  • Requires light to moderate work with 20-pound lifting and carry limit
  • Position will require frequent use of computers, dexterity of fingers and occasional stooping and bending
  • Competitive salary, expected starting range of $95k/yr - $115k/yr, DOE
  • Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Supplemental insurance available
