PRICEBOOK SPECIALIST – JOB DESCRIPTION

Pricebook Specialist Responsibilities:

The Pricebook Specialist has the ultimate responsibility for the implementation of pricebook (item level scan receiving/sales at store locations) and maintaining the pricebook information. The Pricebook Specialist works closely with the Convenience Store, Liquor / Smoke and Regional Managers and reports directly to the Director of Category Management.

Pricebook Specialist duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the implementation of the pricebook at store level, working with the Category Manager and external consultants; the project duties include:
    • Develop the pricebook database(s) for item level scanning
    • Work with merchandise vendors to develop database imports/EDI files
    • Establish relationships with merchandise vendors
    • Assist in writing/amending User Guides for stores and Corporate office
    • Assist in training stores and Corporate office
  • Maintain the pricebook database(s) – enter item and pricing information by site
  • Investigate any pricing/cost discrepancies with management and/or vendors in a timely and professional manner
  • Responsible for promotion maintenance/entry
  • Manage communication with retail location about scanning issues
  • Run reports to analyze data
  • Enter high volume of data with efficiency and accuracy

Experience/Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to function effectively as a team member yet work independently
  • Able to establish and meet deadlines and quickly develop clear priorities
  • Able to communicate in a professional manner when dealing with employees, vendors, and Company contacts
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented, high-pressure work environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Software implementation/IT experience
  • PDI Pricebook experience

Hours:

The Pricebook Specialist is a full time position and works a minimum of 40 hours per week
