Description

Position summary: Family Express utilizes a centralized Pricebook system to manage product information, retail pricing, promotions, vendor costs, rebates, and related data across all store locations. This system supports accurate pricing at the register, effective promotional execution, and alignment with vendor agreements.


The Pricebook Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of this system. This role coordinates closely with Marketing, Operations, Accounting, Procurement, Bakery, Logistics, and vendor partners to support product launches, price changes, promotional activity, and issue resolution.


Serving as a key liaison across departments and with external vendors, the Analyst helps ensure that product data is reliable, pricing is accurate, and store teams can operate efficiently while delivering a positive customer experience. The position works collaboratively with the Pricebook Business Analyst and Category Managers to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Position Responsibilities

  • Build relationships across departments, stores, and vendor partners
  • Foster company culture and promote the Living Brand
  • Serve as a product and pricing advocate for the organization
  • Maintain working knowledge of supported products and programs
  • Adhere to company-approved accounting and data governance procedures
  • Effectively and professionally interact with Family Express personnel, customers, vendors, and the community
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on initiatives in an efficient and timely manner
  • Identify areas for improvement and communicate opportunities for change
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Pricebook Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the ERP-based vendor pricebook, ensuring accuracy of item cost, retail pricing, taxes, rebates, and promotional data
  • Create, update, and maintain item files for all products sold across Family Express locations
  • Ensure new products, discontinued items, and price changes are executed accurately and on schedule
  • Validate pricing against negotiated vendor agreements and resolve discrepancies
  • Support promotional planning by configuring system pricing, discounts, and effective dates
  • Partner with Marketing Category Managers to maintain an organized and functional Pricebook
  • Collaborate with Accounting on vendor billing, rebates, and cost verification
  • Work with Operations and Logistics to minimize disruption during system updates
  • Serve as a point of contact for store-reported scanning issues, pricing errors, or product questions
  • Coordinate with direct-store-delivery (DSD) vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Communicate changes clearly to stakeholders to ensure smooth store execution

Requirements

Role Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (required)
  • Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently

Physical demands and work environment:

  •  Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for prolonged periods; work longer than eight (8) hour shifts, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear; taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
