Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Price Book Analyst to manage and maintain our retail POS price book and support day-to-day store operations.
This position is responsible for ensuring that products, pricing, promotions, vendors, taxes, and other item information are accurately maintained within our POS system. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly accurate, comfortable working with large amounts of data, and able to identify and resolve pricing or system discrepancies quickly.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update the POS price book, including products, pricing, costs, promotions, and vendor information.
  • Review vendor invoices, product listings, and pricing documentation for accuracy.
  • Set up new products, vendors, promotions, and pricing changes in the POS system.
  • Monitor pricing and product data to identify errors, discrepancies, and missed updates.
  • Ensure promotional pricing is entered accurately and activated within the appropriate timeframe.
  • Review and implement applicable sales tax and product taxability changes within the POS system.
  • Research and resolve pricing, scanning, and item setup issues reported by store personnel.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with POS software and technology vendors for price book-related issues.
  • Maintain appropriate controls and processes to ensure price book accuracy.
  • Analyze pricing, sales, cost, and product data to identify trends and opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide reports and information to ownership to support operational and pricing decisions.
  • Assist with inventory, invoicing, vendor, and other retail operational functions as needed.

Qualifications
  • Retail, convenience store, grocery, price book, invoicing, or related experience preferred.
  • Previous POS or price book management experience is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with pricing, invoices, spreadsheets, and large amounts of product data.
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and independently research solutions.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
