Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Generates, analyzes, and manages accurate and timely client proposals by:
  • Reading, analyzing, and collaboratively working with the functional team owners to understand client's Request for Proposal ("RFP") & protocol. Ensuring value add pricing where appropriate.
  • Reading, analyzing, and collaboratively working with project managers and functional team owners to ensure accuracy and completeness of change orders requests and to create change order budgets and coordinate generation of additional scope of work language when required.
  • Reading, analyzing, and collaboratively working with the functional team owners to understand client's Request for Information ("RFI") and ensuring RFI answers are maintained the RFI library. Determining standard, variable, and value add costing parameters based on RFP and protocol.
  • Contributing to standard, variable, and value add costing parameters based on RFP and protocol.
  • Coordinating & collaborating with team members to review Fee Schedules for large trials and/or Programs to determine best pricing strategy and provide guidance and approval, while keeping GS, BU Heads, SMEs and Sales updated throughout the process.
  • Incorporating any required sponsor revisions into cost formulas and documenting same for all proposals or change orders generated within the proposals group.
  • Discussing and Reviewing all proposals per current Bain RAPID approval matrix
  • Ensure Pricing generated within the proposals group meetings margin guidelines per the approved gross margin calculator or PriceBook

Ensures pricing and proposals timelines are met by:
  • Managing workload and ETA's for assigned requests
  • Attending and preparing information for team meetings

Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by:
  • Ensuring ongoing understanding of Bioclinica services
  • Reading, understanding and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards
  • Ensuring all reviews, approvals, documents and analysis are filed in accordance to team requirements.

Secondary Responsibilities
Contributes to team effort by:
  • Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes
  • Helping others to accomplish results
  • Performing other duties as assigned and deemed necessary

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required

Experience:
  • 2+ years relevant experience in a pharmaceutical or CRO environment required
  • 1+ years contracts/proposals experience required
  • Knowledge of basic legal concepts and experience drafting and negotiating contracts required
  • Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical industry, terminology and practices preferred
  • Intermediate to Expert in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Access required
  • Previous experience in a clinical imaging environment and/or clinical trials experience within a CRO or pharmaceutical research organization preferred
