Job Description Summary:

The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing scheduled preventative maintenance activities to support the reliability and performance of conveyor and material handling systems. This role operates within a defined mechanical scope, utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to complete assigned work, document activities, and proactively identify potential equipment issues to minimize unplanned downtime.

Job Description:

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, and prior relevant experience.

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $25.47 - $34.58

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 3:30 am - 12 pm

Job Responsibilities:

  • Preventative Maintenance Execution:
    • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance using CMMS-generated work orders in alignment with established maintenance plans
    • Execute routine maintenance on conveyor and material handling systems, including:
      • Belt replacement and relacing
      • Chain shortening and replacement
      • Replacement of wear components
    • Perform assigned corrective maintenance within scope of training and technical capability
    • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Equipment Monitoring & Issue Identification:
    • Inspect equipment during maintenance activities to identify early signs of mechanical wear or failure
    • Escalate potential issues or risks to appropriate maintenance leadership in a timely manner
    • Support efforts to reduce unplanned downtime through proactive identification of equipment concerns
  • CMMS & Documentation:
    • Accurately complete and close work orders within the CMMS, ensuring proper documentation of work performed
    • Maintain clear, detailed records to support maintenance tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Safety & Workplace Standards:
    • Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements
    • Maintain housekeeping and organization standards within assigned work areas
  • Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and follow standardized procedures
  • Basic CMMS proficiency preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Safety Requirements

  • Strict adherence to Breakthru Beverage Safety Policy
  • Use of required PPE

Competencies:

  • Accountable for meeting own targets, work is reviewed periodically.
