Job description

R2Net is a diamond bridal jewelry company with a technology soul. R2Net Inc. is an innovative technology company that provides e-commerce and supply chain platforms to connect the entire span of the diamond industry's ecosystem, including manufacturers, retailers, and consumers. We are hiring a Factory Maintenance Assistant to support the factory through regular machinery maintenance, tool and supplies management, and support through environmental monitoring.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and as-needed maintenance on tools and machinery, including:
  • Completing scheduled preventive maintenance
  • Diagnosing equipment issues as they arise
  • Coordinating with external service vendors for repairs, support and supply of replacement parts
  • Maintain the shop and workstations to ensure they remain clean, organized, and safe.
  • Manage inventory of tools and consumables to prevent shortages
  • Submit purchase request promptly for supplies, tools and replacement parts
  • Receive purchased items and properly stock them into inventory
  • Set up and break down workstations as needed to support production
  • Perform monthly water sampling according to established company procedures
  • Make local supply runs as needed to purchase tools, parts, and materials from nearby vendors.
  • Support general factory operations; perform additional duties assigned based on business needs.

Requirements
  • Prior experience as a shop assistant in a jewelry studio or another manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with 5S and Lean practices for workspace organization and inventory management
  • Highly organized, proactive and detail-oriented
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting equipment such as:
  • laser welders, laser engravers, steamers, tumblers, compressed air systems, torch systems.
  • Able to follow written instructions provided by equipment manufacturers (manuals, data sheets, emails, or other written documentation) to perform maintenance of equipment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; comfortable using computers and basic office software
  • Works efficiently with a sense of urgency and strong follow-through
  • Clear, proactive communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude

Base pay is $28.00-32.00. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
