The Level 1 HP Indigo 6K Digital Press Operator is responsible for overseeing HP Indigo press operations, focusing on exceptional workflow optimization and equipment up time. This role requires a high level of computer aptitude to work with our custom internal software and collaboration with the production team to achieve quality, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate HP Indigo 6K digital press to produce jobs as scheduled.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshoot print quality issues, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Load and manage media, inks, and other consumables to keep production running smoothly.
  • Conduct quality checks on printed materials to ensure color accuracy, registration, and printing meet company standards.
  • Work closely with production and prepress teams to resolve file issues.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, housekeeping procedures, and operational guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • HP Indigo Certified Operator is a plus (HP Indigo 6000 Series preferred).
  • 1-2 years of previous experience operating commercial digital press equipment (UV Inkjet, Toner, etc).
  • Strong maintenance and technical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of substrates, adhesives, and specialty materials such as BOPP, PET, and metallic stocks.
  • Ability to read and interpret press output to achieve quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Above-average computer and software utilization experience.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Requires frequent and sometimes extended periods of bending, standing, walking, crouching, and use of hands throughout shift.
  • Must be able to push, lift and pull up to 50 lbs.
