Position Overview

The Production Manager serves as the operational leader of the production department. Working closely with the Head of Production, this role is responsible for ensuring every production is planned, organized, staffed, and executed efficiently from pre-production through wrap. This position owns production logistics, scheduling, resource planning, departmental coordination, and execution across multiple projects while continuously improving workflows and production systems. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, calm under pressure, and capable of anticipating production needs before they become problems.

Key Responsibilities Production Planning
  • Lead pre-production planning for all assigned productions
  • Build and maintain production schedules and timelines
  • Review scripts to identify production requirements
  • Develop execution plans for locations, props, wardrobe, crew, and equipment
  • Coordinate production calendars across multiple projects
Operations & Logistics
  • Manage production logistics from concept through completion
  • Coordinate locations, permits, vendors, rentals, and transportation
  • Oversee prop, wardrobe, and production asset readiness
  • Ensure equipment is prepared, maintained, and available
  • Track production budgets and purchasing
  • Resolve logistical challenges before they impact production
Team Leadership
  • Lead production meetings and planning sessions
  • Coordinate communication across creative, production, and post-production teams
