School-Based Behavioral Health Therapist
LCSW | LPC
Rockbridge Area Health Center | Lexington, Virginia
Support student mental health while enjoying the lifestyle of Virginia's Shenandoah Valley.
Rockbridge Area Health Center (RAHC) is seeking a School-Based Behavioral Health Counselor (LCSW or LPC) to provide counseling and behavioral health services for students through our School-Based Health Center (SBHC) program.
This role works directly with students, families, school staff, and RAHC's integrated healthcare team to improve access to mental health care for children and adolescents in our community.
This position is eligible for Federal and State Loan Repayment Programs (NHSC).

What You'll Do
  • Provide mental health counseling and behavioral health therapy for students
  • Conduct behavioral health assessments and treatment planning
  • Deliver crisis intervention when needed
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, counselors, and families
  • Coordinate care with RAHC's integrated primary care and behavioral health teams
  • Support early identification and treatment of mental health and behavioral concerns

Students served: School-age children and adolescents
Qualifications
Required
  • Licensed in Virginia as LCSW or LPC
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related behavioral health field
  • Experience providing mental health counseling
  • Eligible for FTCA privileging
  • Current BLS certification
