Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Field Application Engineers (FAEs) to drive technical excellence, customer success, and revenue growth across assigned accounts.
  • Serve as the primary technical solution architect for enterprise and Fortune 1000 customers, designing and presenting optimized end-to-end storage and system architectures that strengthen account penetration and long-term loyalty.
  • Partner closely with Sales and cross-functional teams to translate customer business and partner requirements into scalable, high-performance hardware and software solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership across the full lifecycle-pre-sales design, proof-of-concept development, deployment, and post-sales implementation oversight.
  • Engage directly with C-level and senior technical stakeholders to build trusted advisor relationships and influence strategic technology decisions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across hardware, firmware, drivers, OS, and application layers, including hands-on debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Lead cross-department engineering teams during product development, field escalations, and critical customer issue resolution.
  • Develop and deliver technical proposals, bid responses, architecture reviews, and customer presentations that clearly articulate value and differentiation.
  • Represent the company brand and solution messaging through on-site visits, technical workshops, and executive briefings to ensure successful solution integration and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel up to 25% to support customer engagements and deployments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in compute/storage servers, datacenter infrastructure, or enterprise IT environments.
  • Deep expertise in x86 server architecture, hardware systems design, diagnostics, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of firmware, Linux, Windows, and virtualization platforms across complex production environments.
  • Strong technical leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to drive investigations and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure customer environments with strong business judgment and problem-solving capability.
Salary Range

$150,000 - $185,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
