Trader Job Summary: Customer Service Specialist (Trading Desk)
Texas Precious Metals is seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy Customer Service Specialist to assist clients through both precious metals buying and liquidation processes. This high-trust position demands a strong understanding of market dynamics and commitment to excellence in service and operations.
Customer Service Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of precious metals retail products and market trends
  • Execute client orders using discretion and judgment
  • Oversee and ensure prompt processing of abnormal or complex orders
  • Serve as the go-to expert on product, inventory, and shipment questions
  • Assist and represent clients through the entire purchase and liquidation order lifecycle.
  • Assist with daily business operations and ad hoc responsibilities
  • Travel occasionally (less than 10%)
  • All other duties as assigned by management
Customer Service Specialist Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong communication skills-both verbal and written
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated team player with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Clean and professional appearance
Trader Qualifications:
  • Some college coursework preferred
  • Experience in non-commissioned sales and or customer service
  • Highly detail-oriented, dependable, and ethical
  • Finance market knowledge beneficial but not required
Work Environment:
Office-based role with occasional exposure to manufacturing areas and outdoor work. May require use of PPE including safety glasses and closed-toe shoes.
