Job description

Pre Service Representative

The Pre Service Representative performs all tasks related to pre-registration and registration of inpatients and outpatients in an efficient, accurate and professional manner to ensure that the patient, physician and hospital needs are met.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred

Experience: One year previous work related experience in a healthcare or general office environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and previous medical billing, registration, radiology scheduling and collection experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with staff, patients/guarantors, insurance companies, physicians and all others. Ability to follow directions as outlined and comprehends complex issues. Strong computer skills to include typing a minimum of 35 wpm. Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment at times of need. Bilingual preferred.

Equipment: Use of computers, with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs as needed. Also ten key, copy machine, fax machine and credit card device.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $30.57

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate's relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate's individual experience.
