POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for implementing company sales and merchandising by executing Branch accountability within their territory. Employees in these positions work in the field and visit accounts and prospective accounts directly to meet with customers.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibility of this position is to make direct sales to customers and prospective customers at their business locations. While specific duties may vary by customer, employees are expected to perform the following duties in connection with their primary responsibility of outside sales:
  • Meet directly with responsible customer employees at their business locations to drive outside sales revenue and growth and increase distribution of National Brands in assigned area.
  • Develop assigned sales area by constantly prospecting for new accounts through outside sales calls.
  • Develop a sales plan for each outside sales call to reach volume and distribution goals, as defined by the Company's objectives.
  • Develop and manage relationships with prospects and accounts within your assigned territory.
  • Present and implements sales and marketing promotions to accounts to garner incremental sales.
  • Secure incremental displays to support promotions and brand exposure.
  • Ensure the distribution of all authorized products in all accounts in the territory. (Avoid out-of-stocks).
  • Ensure all employees rotate product in all accounts. Be especially cognizant of diet products as per Company policy.
  • Minimize trade returns vs. cost to sales.
  • Monitor drivers' store merchandising in the area of corporate brands, temporary racks, gondolas, vis-a-coolers, displays and vending equipment.
  • Sell in First Focus programs weekly.
  • Maximize the pricing and displays with all of our packages while remaining competitive.
  • Ensure that all accounts have P.O.P. and that it is properly displayed in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
  • Mark route books on a daily basis.
  • Work with all store personnel to increase space on all gondolas, racks, displays, and cooling equipment to maximize sales.
  • Must maintain a professional image.
  • Develop good customer relations with store owners, managers, grocery managers, receivers and supervisors.
  • Book displays and insure execution according to our display execution calendar.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Provide Outstanding Customer Service Satisfaction.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and two years successful sales and/or customer contact experience.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Sales experience.
  • Office equipment including, but not limited to, computer, phone, fax machine, copier and calculator.
  • MS Office including Word and Excel.
