Position Summary
The Human Resources & Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our Morrow headquarters by managing key human resources functions while ensuring efficient office operations. This position is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, payroll coordination, employee records management, compliance tracking, and administrative support that keeps our business running smoothly.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy. Job Functions
Human Resources
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and hiring documentation.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and completion of employment documentation, including I-9s, W-4s, acknowledgments, and personnel files.
  • Maintain employee personnel records and ensure HR documentation remains complete and compliant.
  • Support employee relations by responding to employee questions, documenting workplace issues, and assisting management with HR processes.
  • Coordinate employee separations, exit interviews, and recovery of company equipment and property.
  • Assist with policy updates and employee communications.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information at all times.
Payroll & Compliance
  • Collect, review, and verify employee time records for payroll processing.
  • Coordinate payroll submissions and assist with payroll audits, corrections, and reporting.
  • Monitor compliance with employment laws, OSHA, DOT (as applicable), and company policies.
  • Maintain compliance tracking for required licenses, certifications, and training.
  • Assist with audits and employment record requests.
Operations & Office Administration
  • Provide administrative support to company leadership.
  • Coordinate office operations, calendars, records management, and reporting.
  • Manage office vendors, supplies, and administrative processes.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documentation for leadership meetings.
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
What Your Day Looks Like
Your day begins by reviewing communications from field supervisors and office staff to ensure hiring activities, onboarding schedules, payroll deadlines, and operational priorities remain on track. Throughout the day, you'll answer employee questions, organize personnel records, prepare reports for leadership, coordinate interviews, process payroll-related documentation, and maintain compliance records.
No two days are exactly alike. One moment you may be coordinating a new employee orientation, and the next you may be assisting with a payroll correction or responding to an urgent compliance request. Success in this role requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, excellent follow-through, and the ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Recruiting, Office Administration, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, payroll processes, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience supporting operations in construction, transportation, facilities, logistics, or field service environments.
