Job Description:

L3Harris' Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Production Support person to join our team. The Production Coordinator will be responsible for supporting an assembly operations team in mechanical and electrical assembly.ย  This role is crucial to ensure on time delivery of products to internal and external customers. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team with a culture of continuous improvement and a proven track record of business excellence

Essentialย Functions:

  • Able to lead a team of 10+ assembly operators
  • Manage the start and completion of assembly job orders
  • Detailed cataloging of defective material
  • Works under limited supervision.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency of assembly operations
  • Monitor hourly production performance by use of information system dashboards
  • Follows established processes to complete tasks.
  • Execute line readiness activities to ensure assembly line is healthy with material
  • Escalates issues / engage support teams to keep production line flowing
  • Works close with shift supervisor to support the organization's code of conduct
  • Leadership that influences trust, integrity, and strong relationships

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years prior production experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 2 years prior production experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles including 5S, Quick Changeover, Flow, and waste elimination
  • IPC-J-STD-001 certification preferred, but not essentialย
