Job description

*Shift: NIGHTS**Must start in May*Expected to work every other weekend.**Must have 2 years of CTICU experience.**AHA certifications required: (Must be AHA) BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and VAD (one can be VAD educated to work with Ventricular Assist Device).CCRN certification is preferred. The facility does not accept local candidates within 75 miles. Floating is expected. Patient population: Cardiac surgery, heart failure. Direct post-operative cardiothoracic surgical patient. Direct post-operative LVAD placement. LVAD patient needing ICU level care during Implant Admission.Specialty experience/education in ECMO, LVAD, Impella, CRRT, IABP, IO, Intubation/LMA, Arterial Blood gases, Blood products transfusions, Rapid Infusers, Chest Tubes/Thoracotomy procedures, Biphasic Defibrillators. Must have basic experience including NGT/OGT/Lavage, Restraints, G-Tube/PEG Tube and feedings/meds. Art lines assist with insertion and management, central Line management.Expected to work every other holiday.Facility can call off up to 3 shifts for 13-week contract and 2 shifts less than 13-week contract.EMR System: EPIC Eight hours of non-billable orientation.
