MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure targets for safety, quality, and efficiency are consistently met
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of production operators, fostering a positive and accountable work environment
  • Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and machine utilization to optimize productivity and minimize downtime
  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations; implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution
  • Analyze production data and KPIs (e.g., OEE, scrap rates, throughput) to identify improvement opportunities
  • Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices
  • Ensure product quality standards are maintained through adherence to SOPs and quality control processes
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing performance feedback and evaluations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred
  • 3-7+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a production setting
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production flow, and equipment operations
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, or Six Sigma principles is an asset
  • Experience working with production KPIs (OEE, throughput, scrap reduction, downtime tracking)
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to coach, motivate, and manage diverse teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations (e.g., OSHA or equivalent local standards)
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules, technical documents, and SOPs
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Basic computer skills; experience with ERP or MES systems is an asset
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, or extended hours as required
